These links will take you to the background information, house rules,
feats, skills and classes for my ongoing 3rd Edition Dungeons & Dragons
campaign. Some of the rules may be of more general interest to others.
- Geography
- Nations and Societies - including which
classes and prestige classes hail from which nation-states.
- Calendar
- Myths
- History.
- Players Information
- Languages: The use of languages ancient
and modern is important for the flavour of the game. This is how they
work.
- Classes. Almost all of the character
classes has one or more changes to fit my campaign flavour. Sometimes
this means a renaming of one of the core classes to better reflect the
new role which they have.
- Prestige Classes: The Element Lord,
Damdzan mercenary, the Honourbound knights, the Chosen of Asura and
the Tillanian Dragon-friend are all ready to read. Others are in development.
- Racial Changes. All PC's are human in
my campaign, and the NPC races are not necessarily balanced...
- CHA Attribute clarification
- Miscellaneous: changes to level &
blood draining, NPC classes and various other things
- New Feats A range of new feats, including
pseudo-class feats, metamagic feats, martial arts feats and general
combat feats.
- New Skills. Enhancements to existing
skills and a (few) entirely new skills.
- New Weapons. Additional exotic weapons
for my campaign.
- New Combat Rules - Parrying rules,
armour giving damage reduction rules.
- Wounds and Vitality - replacing
the hit point system with one that distinguishes between serious wounds
(which take time to heal) and the loss of vitality (which is recovered
by resting)
- Scalable Psionic powers - making
high level psionic powers more powerful per pp, redressing the balance
for the poor high level psion.
- Natural creature abilities, and a modified Swallow Whole rule.
Computing utilities
As I create useful utilities for DnD, I'll add them here. For the moment
there is a little character roller and jump distance.DC calculator for
the PalmPilot.
- Palmpilot Character Roller. Also needs
PocketC runtime.
- Palmpilot Jump Calculator. Find the DC
for any distance or the distance for any skill roll, at any common speed.
No longer needs PocketC runtime
- Calendar (printed sheet for marking off
days, scheduling events and so on. Zipped Word file)
- Combatlog (printed sheet for jotting down
initiative order, spell durations, deaths door progression - Zipped
Word file).
- Tinysheet4 character sheet for
D&D. This is an Excel and Tinysheet 4.0 spreadsheet (which can be
synchronised from the PalmOS device to your PC). It is designed with
the high-resolution Sony Clie in mind, and is probably not so useful
with other PalmOS devices. In order to use it you will need Tinysheet
from iambic software
